Oops...You're Still Here In The Space Between

​Instead of being dismayed that you didn’t get raptured, be grateful you still have time to make a difference. ​

If you are reading this that means you survived Monday’s total eclipse.

While many believed this event would ignite the rapture, I was secretly hoping that wasn’t the case. Otherwise anyone reading this post (or writing it), might be in big trouble. 

Although I write this with a little (or a lot) of sarcasm, there are some who are disappointed that God didn’t come and whisk them away to heaven.

​It’s hard for me to fathom how some faithful believers think they can manipulate or predict what God is going to do. And moreover, it hurts my soul to think that someone who shares my faith would rather leave this planet than save it.

If Jesus actually ushered in the kingdom of heaven, why would anyone cheer for its demise? Yes, I want to see sin disappear. I’d love to have a political system that rules with love and promotes peace and justice. But until then, God needs us here.

“Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’” (Matthew 25:34-36)
